So let me tell you about this weekend. Boy was it busy! Thursday, on my way to work, I get an email video from Aaron and Sarah saying they were on their way to the hospital after Sarah's water had broke that early morning. All day at work I was waiting for Baby Kate to be born. Finally around 4pm, Baby Kate Elise arrived at a healthy 7lbs even though she was two weeks early. Mommy Sarah, Daddy Aaron and Baby Kate are all doing well. Friday, my first day off, my friend Randi came into town from Austin. I have not seen her since she came up when Guen was born at the hospital. She got here around 1130 and we took off to the Village. I had already made plans to meet my friend Julie, whom I have not seen in a long while, for lunch at the Black Walnut Cafe. It was so great to see you Julie! After lunch, since we were close to the med center, Randi, Guen and I headed up to the hospital to see Sarah and Baby Kate (Aaron had gone home to feed the dog). She is absolutely beautiful!!! And that girl has so much hair. Kate needs to do a hair donation to Guen. She is precious Sarah and CONGRATS, we are so excited for ya'll! After our baby visit, we then headed over to my sister Tootie's condo. We took Guen swimming for the first time over there. By this time Guen missed her afternoon nap and had such a big day already she was a little crazy at the pool. But we swam for about an hour before heading home. Randi and I put Guen to sleep (Ryan went up to see Aaron and Sarah after he got off of work). When Ryan got home, we all had some dinner. I made Randi some chicken, mushroom, tomato and pesto pasta chicken (Sarah, I used the homemade pesto you gave me and it was delicious!). We also had some salad and brownies and ice cream for dessert. After that big meal and our big day, we were in bed by 945pm. Saturday Randi, Guen and I went walking around out neighborhood. Then while Guen napped during the morning, I took Randi to see my parents new house down the road from our house. We visited with them for a little while and headed back home. When we got back, Randi took off back to Austin, Ryan headed to work and I went to Target and Costco. That was pretty much the exciting parts of our day. Sunday was our usual church and my mother in law came over for lunch. Ryan and his mom and Guen are in the living room playing while I type. Hope you had a great weekend. Love, Liz
Guen and her new BFF Kate ---isn't weird to think that they will be in the same grade?!
