Belly Don't Lie

I promise that this blog won't be ALL baby stuff, but that seems like that is what's consuming our lives right now. Suprisingly a lot of people have asked to see what my belly looks like. I am not the best mother in the world cause I have skipped a few weeks here and there, but for all you pregnant voyers out there, here you go (the numbers are backwards because I used a mirror):

Let me preface that Ryan and I are not handy in the least bit so to save our marriage we hire people to work on our house instead of us trying to do the work ourselves.  

Anyway, we started "working" on the baby's room.  I believe that most normal moms would be done by this date in their pregnancy with their baby room but I still think I was in denial that I was actually pregnant until recently.  So now that I am getting really further along (thirty-one weeks) and reality is finally settling in, I had five contractors come out to bid.  We are having them fill in some holes in the wall, take out the 1970's intercom, take down the ugly metal blinds, and paint. Also, there's the difficult stuff of replacing the two small bifold doors to the closet with two new doors and taking out the shoe shelf in the closet with the intention of replacing it with matching carpet.  We also hired someone to put in some plantation shutters. 

 

And there will be crown molding! Baby G will be living better than us! Stay tuned for pics of the new baby lair.

Ain't Nothin' But a G Thang, Baby

This is Baby G. Whether we have a boy or a girl, his/her name will start with a G. We didn't find out if we're having a boy or a girl because we want it to be a surprise. When we tell people that they look at us like we just committed a crime. Is there something we're missing?
